The relationship between the supervisor and the doctoral student; Case from Lund University, Sweden

Abstract
Supervisory relationship is one of the most important aspects for Ph.D. study. Having a good relationship between the supervisor and the doctoral student is critical and important for research. How to build up a good relationship is a key point at education field. In the report, three factors, including research supervision, social structure and individual background, are analyzed showing existed problems and how these problems affect the supervisory relationship. Some recommendations from these three aspects are given to improve the supervisory relationship.
