Abstract

In this report, factors impacting student motivation in lab courses in higher education are investigated. A literature review is performed, which forms a theoretical background. Then, student survey data is analyzed based on factors related to student motivation. The results of the analysis show that factors which are linked to student motivation also have a significant impact on some of the survey scores. Finally, some general recommendations are presented to improve student motivation in the lab.
