Abstract
For teachers, one of the main goals is to engage students´ motivation during a course and above all during a lecture. However, how could a traditional lecture be improved to involve more students and help their learning process? The authors of this report have been questioning themselves as teachers and investigating the factors that develop motivation and influence learning outcomes. Taking inspiration from their own teaching experiences, this report presents an analysis of different techniques to attract the students´ attention, considering the fact that there is no recipe for the perfect lecture. A lecture needs to be rethought and adapted every time. There are new possibilities and paths which need strong motivation to follow.
