Abstract

The report examines how teacher behaviour influences student motivation, focusing on professional, communicational, physical, and interpersonal behaviours, which are key components of the Self-Determination Theory (SDT).

Our study adopts a quantitative approach with a structured questionnaire pairing it with existing literature. The questionnaire was distributed to students at Lund University to gather their perceptions of teacher behaviour on their intrinsic motivation.

In conclusion, effective communication, feedback, enthusiasm, and praise are crucial for fostering high student motivation.
