The book Cărtărescu. Ala Izquierda, Autoimagen de Mircea Cărtărescu en España (1993-2018) [Cărtărescu. Left Wing. Self-image of Mircea Cărtărescu in Spain (1993-2018)], by Mihai Iacob, offers a study of the “Spanish” image that the Romanian writer Mircea Cărtărescu projects of himself, directly or indirectly, between 1993 (date of publication of a Visul’s translation into Spanish) and 2018. To this end, the academic analyzes public events, fictional memoirs and opinion articles, as well as comments on social networks or diary entries published by Cărtărescu.
