About the Journal

Historisk studenttidskrift publishes scholarly essays, articles, and reviews of interest to students and researchers at historical departments in Sweden, as well as to the general public. All contributions that fit these genres are welcome, regardless of the author’s background. By submitting material to Historisk studenttidskrift, you assure the editorial team that the material has not been previously published, either in whole or in part. This also means that the same text has not been submitted to another journal before the editorial team has provided a decision.

Submitted material must comply with the guidelines of Historisk studenttidskrift for publication to be considered. The journal accepts texts written in Swedish, English, Danish, and Norwegian. The language should be of high quality and adhere to standard academic style. Submissions are made via the journal’s website.

 

Guidelines

The editorial team determines whether submitted texts meet the publication criteria. If so, the text will be sent anonymously to at least one reviewer, who, together with the editorial team, decides on publication.

Historisk studenttidskrift reserves the right to publish contributions on its website.

 

Copyright and Open Access

Authors who submit their texts for publication in Historisk studenttidskrift grant the journal the right to publish the text indefinitely, without any financial compensation or other remuneration.

Authors retain the copyright to their texts and may distribute and publish them elsewhere, but only after they have first been published in Historisk studenttidskrift.

Policy on Third-Party Publication of Historisk studenttidskrift Material

Third-party publication of material from Historisk studenttidskrift is allowed provided that it is already available on the journal’s website at the time of republication, or if the editorial team has given written permission. Material published via third parties must remain accessible under the journal’s open access policy. Full citation of both the author and Historisk studenttidskrift must be included in any republication.
