Policy

The policy of Historisk Studenttidskrift aims to clarify for readers and authors the criteria the editorial team uses when evaluating submitted texts. It also outlines how submissions are reviewed and how publication decisions are made, with a focus on relevance, quality, and alignment with the journal’s overall objectives.

Our Method for Publication Decisions

The editors of Historisk Studenttidskrift review all submitted texts and provide feedback to the authors when necessary. The evaluation considers:

  • Language and style

  • Timeliness and relevance

  • Topic and thematic focus

  • Academic quality

Following the review, the editorial team collectively decides whether the text will be published.

Copyright

Authors submitting to Historisk Studenttidskrift grant the journal the right to publish their text permanently without financial compensation or other claims. Authors retain copyright and may only distribute or republish their work after it has been published in the journal.

What is Open Access?

Open access is a principle and model of scholarly publishing that makes texts freely accessible online to all. This allows articles to be read, linked to, downloaded, printed, copied, and shared digitally—while respecting the author’s moral rights. Authors must always be credited, and the work must not be altered or misrepresented.

Policy on Third-Party Use

Material from Historisk Studenttidskrift may be republished by third parties only if it is already available on the journal’s website or if written permission has been granted by the editorial team. Republished material must follow open access principles, and full citation of the author and Historisk Studenttidskrift must always be included.
