Through contributions from researchers in various disciplines, the book highlights HR's role in creating value within organizations. It calls for a discussion on how HR can be strengthened as a profession and what values should unite it. The anthology is a rewarding read, but the portrayal of HR is so optimistic that it does not provide a realistic picture of the profession's challenges.
