Abstract

This article aims to understand how employees understand the changes that occurred in their relationship to their colleagues, when they were prevented from meeting physically during the corona pandemic. The study is based on in-depth interviews with employees in knowledge intensive professions. The result shows (i) fewer contacts, (ii) reduced availability and (iii) weakened dynamics between colleagues. The conclusion drawn is that the remote workers during the corona pandemic do not include responsibility for the social relationships in their daily tasks and that they are therefore not particularly committed to maintaining them.
