About the Journal
Arbetsmarknad & Arbetsliv is a social science scholarly journal that aims to disseminate knowledge about conditions in the labour market and working life. The journal strives for high scientific quality, multidisciplinary breadth, and caters to a wide readership. In addition to researchers, students at all levels and other stakeholders interested in work-related issues are important target audiences.
Articles in Arbetsmarknad & Arbetsliv cover a range of different topics and move from micro to macro level. Contributions may address areas such as:

Arbetsmarknad & Arbetsliv applies a double-blind referee model with scientific reviewers who are affiliated with the respective article’s disciplinary research domain. Reviews and articles for debate are reviewed by the editorial staff.
Arbetsmarknad & Arbetsliv publishes approximately 16-20 peer reviewed articles as well as reviews and articles for debate spread over four digital issues per year and a compilation volume in print format at the end of each year. The journal is at level 1 (on a scale between 0 and 2) in the Norwegian register for scientific journals, series and publishers.
Arbetsmarknad & Arbetsliv allows published articles to be translated into English for publication in international journals. There is also no obstacle, on our part, for already published articles in English to be translated into Swedish for publication in our journal.
The publication of Arbetsmarknad & Arbetsliv began in 1995 under the auspices of Arbetslivsinstitutet. In connection with the closure of Arbetslivsinstitutet in 2007, Working Life Science at Karlstad University, in collaboration with Working Life Science at the University of Gothenburg, took over responsibility for the journal. The journal is financed with the support of Forte.
