About the Journal

The publication of the Swedish Theological Quarterly commenced in 1925 on the initiative of Gustaf Aulén, who between 1913 and 1933 was professor of systematic theology at Lund University. Already in the first issue, the editors expressed that the journal was to supply an orientating overview of current theological research on the one hand and be an organ for contemporary Swedish theology on the other. This tradition lives on through the articles, debates, and reviews that are published in each issue of the journal.

Publication Frequency

The Swedish Theological Quarterly publishes four issues per year.
