Searching for effective strategies for online courses regarding assignments and student/teacher interaction

Abstract

The reason for searching for effective strategies in online courses is that I am teaching in an online
course in “Solar electricity” – also named “Photovoltaic systems”. This semester is the third time I am
working with this course and now I wanted to take the opportunity to investigate what would be
possible to improve in the online course and hopefully test some findings.
I am also a teacher in a campus-course in the same subject. Both courses are popular as the interest
of solar electricity has increased a lot during the last years. I try to use the same material between
the two courses as much as possible, but in the campus-course, the lectures, as well as the
laboratory work and study tours, may increase the knowledge compared to the online course, where
all the provided material is studied separately by each student.
