Abstract

International students make up a significant share of all students in programs at an advanced level. As they are often concentrated in ‘international master’s programs, they form non-traditional classrooms, characterized by a high diversity (in terms of knowledge and skills, culture, and academic traditions). This project investigates lectures for international students at LTH. We conducted semi-structured interviews with lecturers as well as surveys with lecturers. The results point to similarities within the literature about lecturing heterogeneous groups: there are challenges, but if done right, the opportunities outdo the challenges.
