Perceived workload during the pandemic: A study considering students and teachers
Keywords:
workload perception, online teaching, pandemic, course evaluationAbstract
This study attempts to explore changes in workload perception for both students and teachers within a master's programme at LTH. We first present the current status in literature with the aim of identifying problems that occurred in such an unprecedented situation. Then, we analysed the CEQs of all courses and projects included in the programme using a mixed-method approach. We observed a few aspects that we recommend when designing future online teaching and learning activities. These aspects, among others, include the undeniable strengths and weaknesses of online teaching, the need for adequate training in using technology, and increasing the ratio of group work in online teaching.
