Author Guidelines

General information

Patristica Nordica Annuaria excepts manuscripts for academic articles in the field of Early Christianity and Late Antique religion. The articles should be written in a Scandinavian language or alternatively in English. The length must not exceed 10,000 words, footnotes included. The article should end with a short summary in English (ca. 150 words) and keywords. Articles valued for publication are reviewed by an anonymous peer reviewer. Electronic manuscripts are sent to thomas.arentzen@ctr.lu.se before the deadline, which is 1 September. Also keep in mind the following:

  1. Use a common font (e.g. Times New Roman) in a Word document. For text in Ancient languages such as Greek, please use Unicode fonts. Headings should be written whithout CAPS and with normal Word formatting.
  2. If reproductions of manuscript folios or other illustrations are needed, please contact the editors. The author must procure high resolution digitized images and necessary permission(s) for reproduction.
  3. The text should be proof-read for language usage before being submitted to the editors.
  4. Use the en dash (–), not the em dash (—), and use only hyphen (-) in compound words.
