Author Guidelines

  • We accept submissions in the form of articles, case notes or book reviews.
  • The word limit on submitted papers is 12,000 words for articles and 5,000 words for case notes and reviews.
  • All contributions should have an abstract (150-200 words) and a list of references. The journal is part of Crossref and each submission must be accompanied with DOI numbers for references to published works.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Formal requirements are met.
  • The submission is be written in accordance with the Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format (.doc or .docx).
