Perspektivlaboratorier
- perspektivmedvetenhet som förändringsstrategi
Abstract
This article is an analysis of a change work carried out at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. The basis for this change work is a working model called Perspective Laboratories. The article highlights the components of the model as well as the theoretical perspectives that form the basis for the change work. The analysis of this change work can be understood as an interactive intervention study. This means a double assignment, where both an intervention and an evaluation are included. Perspective laboratories can best be described as a dialogue-based, structured model in order to increase the participants' perspective awareness. For healthcare, the model has sometimes been used to create a cross-professional understanding and thereby improve the psychosocial work environment. The results show that healthcare is an organization where a structuring model for dialogue and increased perspective awareness would certainly contribute to improving both the core business and the general work environment. However, a number of difficulties can be noted when implementing the change concept. These difficulties are, among other things, linked to the deep-rooted professional logics that govern the work. Finally, three possible development paths for the healthcare organization are stated in relation to the current model for change work. One is that the organization steers harder and argues more forcefully to work with the dialogue between the professions and thereby incorporate the model into the business. The second is to adapt the model so that it is not so different from the ordinary activities. The third way is not to choose to address the issue of different logics and thus abandon the idea of a cross-professional perspective awareness.
