Improving the course “Traffic Engineering Theory” with educational films and changed examination form

Abstract

This project is done with an intention to improve the course “Traffic Engineering Theory”
given by the Department of Technology and Society at Faculty of Engineering, LTH. This
course is the very first specialized course in road traffic and passing it is a pre-requisite for
any other advanced traffic courses given by the department. The course concentrates on
providing knowledge on the basic concepts and theories and understanding of traffic as a
complex system. This basic knowledge is a necessary ground on which all the later courses
are built on.
