Improved teaching in lab courses: with focus on students with different backgrounds

Abstract

The main purpose of this project is to describe the different ways or approaches to
improve the learning process of international student in order to help them to perform
as well as local students. There are several strategies that could be implemented to
improve the teaching skills for better and deeper understanding such as,

• Motivate/encourage the students to get adopted in the existing system with friendly and positive attitude

• Appreciate to work in small group; it will help to develop the teamwork skill

• Activate the student to critical thinking by using different teaching methods such as games in teaching etc.

In this project we will mainly focus on the learning ability and problems in learning in
lab courses that encountered by international student and different sort of strategies
that could be used to improve the current situation.
