Using Course Analysis to Steer Course Refinement: Case Study from a Concurrency Programming Course

Abstract

A programming course for concurrency systems is analysed for weak spots based on results from written examination and student feedback forms. It is discovered that a large student population fails one of the major course topics despite numerous teaching activities. Several changes are suggested to improve the situation.
