Among the timeless truths that confront society, loyalty challenges the centuries. Its authenticity becomes a measure of the integrity of social-economic entities, from the individual to the community and then to the nation. The present study explores reality through social-historical and economic landmarks and arguments induced by the concept of loyalty. The peculiarity of this work is that, approaching loyalty from multiple perspectives (dynastic, social-identity, religious, divided), it assigns to it more or less established meanings, but with paradigmatic potential (expression of truth or distortion). The secret of the text we identify in the versatile way in which the reading challenges us to look at the depth of loyalty: through mirrors that are truthful, but oriented towards ourselves or others.
