History of the Journal

The original title from 1926 was Tidskrift för kyrkomusik och svenskt gudstjänstliv. Since 1941 the journal has been entitled Svenskt Gudstjänstliv and is published by the Laurentius Petri Sällskapet för svenskt gudstjänstliv. In 1953 it became a yearbook, since 1980 each issue treats a specific theme. Between 1991 and 2002 Svenskt Gudstjänstliv was issued as part of the series Tro & tanke published by the Church of Sweden Research Council. Since 2003 it is once more an independent yearbook and is published by Artos & Norma, Skellefteå.

In 2013 this electronic version of the journal was launched, where each issue appears six months after the publication of the printed one.
