Education of International Master Students - Academic difficulties in a Master Programme at the Faculty of Engineering

Abstract

This project is about International Master Students (IMS) and potential problems that they
may come across, especially during their first year. The idea to do such a project was born
from our previous experiences about IMS and concerns about their education and
adaptation in a foreign country. Students have, for example, felt left out because of
handouts and information given only in the host language. Another example is students who
have experienced that lectures were based too much upon previous courses, which native
students have taken.
