Abstract

We set out to answer the question: How can Swedish bachelor's and master's programs better prepare students for doctoral education?
We decided to answer our research question by attempting to address these questions:
  • What are the prominent holes in graduate student abilities that PhD supervisors see?
  • How are these addressed in undergraduate and master programs here at Lund University?
  • How can they be improved?
We decided to answer these questions in three steps, a survey, a range of interviews based on the survey and a general analysis.
