Students within the same group often differ in their performance, and some struggle more than others. These students may require extra attention from the teacher, a slower pace, or a different instructional approach to reach the necessary level of understanding. The literature suggests that private tutoring can help them catch up, but tutoring comes with its own challenges, such as cost, availability, and, in some cases, social stigma. An alternative could be the use of AI as a form of private tutoring. In this paper, we examine the benefits, challenges, and limitations of this approach and explore what its future development might look like.
