Krisberedskap i kris
Abstract
The Swedish Corona-response 2020 – Crisis in crisis management
Sweden confirmed the first case of covid-19 on January 31, a woman in her 20s, returning from Wuhan, China. At the beginning of February community transmissions were detected. On March 11 WHO declared covid-19 as a pandemic. The same day the Swedish government restricted public gatherings to 500 persons, a fortnight later to 50 persons. From April 1 the government restricted visits to elderly care homes. But Sweden never implemented a lockdown. To flatten the infection curve so that healthcare would not be overburdened and at the same time protect elderly people and other risk groups, a lot of specific measures were undertaken. This article studies some of the precautionary measures, restrictions and regulations that were implemented by the government and relevant authorities.
