Enhancing student engagement, critical thinking and collaborative mindset in physiotherapy education employing active learning

Teamwork, critical thinking and communication are key traits necessary to work in multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Active learning has been shown to directly contribute to the development of these key traits in addition to improving student engagement and outcomes. While mainstream medical education has widely utilized active learning approaches to achieve these ends, these approaches are relatively less utilized in paramedical education.
The aim of this project is to propose a collaborative learning approach based on team-based learning (TBL) to encourage critical thinking, student engagement and a collaborative mindset in physiotherapy education.
