Abstract

This paper outlines intended modifications to a two-hour seminar called “Participation in research: exploring different ways of involvement” with the goal to actively engage the students in the learning process. Transforming a 45-minute lecture into active learning exercises, the students will engage with the learning content in groups using the create-comment-revise method. The second part of the seminar, centred around the exploration of creative methods, will be modified to include a round of peer-learning in jigsaw groups, as opposed to a plenary session.
