Abstract

In 2019 and 2022, I was responsible for a medical specialty course (specialistkompetens, SK-course) in dialysis treatment, and I will also be responsible for the course in the next round of the course. The course aims to provide an introduction to the current level of knowledge in dialysis treatment, and this (or a similar course) is mandatory in order to achieve specialist competence in kidney medicine in Sweden. The course utilizes Canvas as a digital learning platform and the course participants have access to all information about the course, including the lecture compendium, schedule, course objectives and so on. In this project this university level course is analyzed with regards to learning outcomes, learning activities, examination, and course evaluation utilizing present knowledge and research in the area. From the analysis, suggestions for improvements and their implementation into the next course are made.
