About the Journal

Lund Archaeological Review is an international peer-reviewed journal of archaeology published annually by the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History at Lund University. It was founded in 1995 and replaced Meddelanden från Lunds universitets historiska museum/Papers of the Archaeological Institute, University of Lund as the scientific journal of the department. The journal was internationally ranked by the European Science Foundation as a publication with significant visibility and influence in various research domains in different countries (2007), and as a level 1 publication by the NSD Register for Scientific Journals (2022). We offer an interdisciplinary forum and welcome contributions within the fields of archaeology, historical archaeology, historical osteology, classical archaeology and ancient history.
