Introduction to biological mass spectrometry and proteomics

Abstract

There is no course within the Medical Faculty that cover a highly important and expanding research area: biological mass spectrometry and proteomics. I believe that a PhD-course in this area could be very useful for PhD-students at the Medical Faculty. There is a need to introduce this technology for PhD-students as this methodology does and will continue to have a great impact within life science. My project was to design a course that incorporates pedagogical aspects on course design that has been the content in the course: Perspectives on Course Design. The selected learning outcomes, learning activities and assessments are discussed in detail reflecting on what has been taught in this PoCD course. The next step is to take this preliminary course plans further and get it approved in the spring 2022 to enable an annual course to be held onwards.
