Course in Pediatric Cardiology

Abstract

Background: The larger pediatric cardiology centers in Sweden take turns to give this type of course. In April 2021 Lund gave the course. Two pediatric cardiology fellows organized the course and many colleagues at the Pediatric Heart Center contributed by giving lectures. The course was based entirely on lectures and case discussions (the length of the course is one week). The course was also held on Teams because of the pandemic.

Plan/idea for “Perspectives on Course Design”: Plan to explore the possibility to introduce other ways of learning as a complement to lectures and cases. I would also like to introduce a science part in the course since I find it very important to inspire young physicians to engage in research and development.
